Exclusive software developed either for a specific organization or a specific function which differs from other already available software (also called off-the-shelf software), and is generally not targeted towards the mass-market.

Bespoke software has several advantages. The most significant advantage is its uniqueness and versatility allowing application development for a specific purpose making it highly efficient. A further advantage is the existing relationship between client and developer which is absent when compared to off-the-shelf software. For instance, during the development process, the developer can easily interact with the users whenever necessary if additional functionality requires incorporation.

Bespoke software can be created as either a complete version with a definite end product, or it can be created as a version which only contains the system core and perhaps a few essential system modules with the ability to add more functionality at a later date. Additional services include:
